Anyways! My exams are starting on Saturday & I have a feeling I've already told you this. If I haven't then it must just be my imagination. If any of you are actually interested, I managed to finish The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. It was pretty good and I really enjoyed it. Well, it's not really a book that is enjoyed but it's experienced. You should read it. Anyway, I've moved on to reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and I haven't read very far into the book but already I'm hooked. Now I just need to unhook myself so I can study for my finals.

Swimming Through Sick Lullabies

I can't believe it's Sunday already and i have class tomorrow! It's quite upsetting that the weekend has flown by so quickly.

This weekend was kicked off with a little dinner party at our place followed by some hanging around, Man Bites Dog and Blockus 3D. Everything seems to be in 3D these days and it's starting to get ridiculous.

Man Bites Dog is a hilarious game which if you haven't already heard of, you should check out. Basically you have to make up headlines with words on different cards but the sentence (statement) has to be grammatically correct. & most of the time the headlines are absolutely ridiculous, like "PRIEST RUNS AWAY WITH DOG" or "ROMANTIC KILLER DRUGS BLIND JUDGE". It was hilarious.

We probably stopped playing and dispersed around 3 or 4am. That was a good night.

Saturday and Sunday was spent at home. I really haven't left the house since i returned from English class on Friday. Take that as you may.

Anyways, i'm going to get back to reading The Bell Jar because i aim to finish reading it today. I've been stuck on this book for waaaayyyy too long.

Presentation Week is over for me! I had two of my presentations today and eventhough it was majorly hectic. I'm glad I got it over with and now I can relax. If only for a little while.

Next week up, revision week. Not much to say today. Except TGIF.

Proper update soon enough. But I need to catch some Zs.

In Another Life

As you guys know, my parents and brother came to visit us this week and a half-ish. It's a shame they came this week, which happened to be the week when the last of my assignments were due. There were a few days that I couldn't hang out with them cause I'd be in the computer lab working on my assignments till early in the morning. Then I'd come home to find them all sitting around playing their games or talking or eating.

It was nice to see them again. And they were very excited to be here. I'll be seeing them again quite soon. So I'm glad. We just sent them off to the airport and their flight probably just took off. Fun schtufff.

Anyways! My dad bought iPads for himself and my mom and we've been teaching them how to use it. Mom even took notes with diagrams and stuff. So adorable. And they were playing games on them in the morning before we woke up.

We didn't get to go anywhere like Gold Coast or movie world or dream world or any other world due to Charlene's and my class schedules but we've been busy dealing with some other stuff so it's all good. Now it's back to it just being the three of us again. Crowded house is not that crowded anymore.



In other news, D: presentations this week.

My Heart's In Motion

I have to admit. I've been absolutely obsessed with it ever since my brother synced it up. I didn't think I'd be all that interested but... peg me smitten.

It's an iPod touch. Not the iPhone and it was given to my dad from a friend of his and he said he had no use for it and so he gave it to me! :D I need to start controlling my obsession of this thing before it gets the better of me. Especially now that everything is getting so busy.

My parents and brother came on Friday evening and we've been busy watching movies and eating and eating. Mom likes feeding us a lot. To quote Charlene, "Mom will never let us die of hunger but maybe she might let use die of fullness". Weelll, she said it in chinese so it sounds slightly weird in English.

These are macaroons that Charlene bought for us to taste test from the Farmers' Market on Wednesday. It's a shame that our parents weren't here when that happened but oh well. We can always get some more this coming Wednesday. There were twelve different flavours including lavender, green tea and pistachio. I can't list them out because I can't remember. Sorry!

Also! Here's something I'm quite excited about. I was assigned my first ad from Nuffnang and it starts airing today. Heh. Weird overly excited inner nerd of self accomplishment. My advertiser is Bega. Anyways, from time to time if you have nothing to do after visiting my blog or if you like me and you don't mind the trouble, please click on the ad. But you know, only if you want to. *hides excitement* But for some reason it's not showing up on my Chrome so I had to use the pod to get a screenshot of it.

Anyways! Tomorrow is the day that my family goes to Ikea and have their famous meatballs. Unfortunately, I won't be able to join them because I'll be at P Block working my ass off on the three assignments due this coming week. But I do not fret, for soon it all shall be over! :DD yes, sometimes i switch between modern english and archaic english.
